SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Policy

At Lilou Composites, all of our parts are handmade to order in our UK workshop. We take pride in the care and precision that goes into each piece — from mould to dispatch.

Production & Dispatch
  • Most parts are made to order, with a production lead time of 2–4 weeks, depending on the item and workload.

  • You'll receive a notification with tracking details as soon as your order is dispatched.

  • If there’s any unexpected delay, we’ll get in touch right away to keep you updated.

UK Shipping
  • We ship via tracked and insured courier services.

  • Delivery usually takes 1–3 business days from dispatch.

International Shipping
  • Please see below on guidance for international shipping.

Packaging
  • All items are carefully packed to protect them in transit. Upon delivery, please inspect the parcel before signing.

  • If the packaging is damaged or the item appears to have been affected during shipping, do not accept the delivery — refuse it with the courier and notify us immediately. This helps us process a claim and resolve the issue faster.

  • If damage is discovered after accepting the delivery, you must report it to us within 48 hours with clear photos of the item and packaging.

Returns & Exchange Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. All of our parts are made with care, but if there’s an issue, here’s how we handle returns:

Standard Returns
  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for standard items.

  • Items must be unfitted, unused, and returned in original condition and packaging.

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Coloured Carbon Fibre Items
  • Items made with coloured carbon fleck are made to order and subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned.

  • Finish variations in coloured carbon are normal due to the nature of hand-layered materials.

Custom & Made-to-Order Items
  • Fully custom orders or parts with specific customer-requested modifications are non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturing defects.

  • If you believe there’s a fault, please contact us within 14 days of delivery, including photos and a clear description.

Fitment Responsibility
  • Some parts may require bonding or 3M tape depending on your setup (especially aftermarket items).

  • Always test-fit parts before painting or final install. We can’t accept returns or offer replacements for parts damaged during installation or modification.

International Returns & Exchange Policy

We’re happy to ship worldwide, but due to the nature of international logistics and shipping costs:

  • We do not accept returns or offer refunds on international orders unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

  • All international shipments are fully insured, and any damage sustained in transit must be claimed through the shipping provider.

  • If your parcel arrives damaged, you must refuse delivery and request that the courier returns it to sender. If accepted, you must report the issue within 48 hours with detailed photos.

  • We will support you in filing a claim with the courier, but cannot cover the cost of return shipping or replacements in cases where damage occurred in transit and the parcel was accepted.
