Big Win: Our Take on the Speaker Pods (and Why We’re So Proud of Them)

At Lilou Composites, we’ve always said we’ll only sell parts we’d run on our own vans — and the T4 dash speaker pods are no exception.
The original design comes from the talented team over at Delta Garage, and we’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with them to bring the product to UK-based T4 builders. We’ve taken their incredibly clean and functional design and added our own touch — most notably our custom-designed fascia ring that hugs the speaker snugly in place and finishes it off with our now-signature hex grid styling.
After installing them in our project wagon and sharing some snaps on Facebook, the post took off like wildfire — racking up over 10,000 views in the first week, a new badge for our efforts, and earning its place as our best-selling product to date.

And the best bit? The difference in sound quality is mad — and we haven’t even changed the speakers! Just aiming them further into the cab made a massive difference.
This launch has meant a lot to us. Not just because of the attention, but because it proves the value of backing good design, adding our own spin, and keeping quality at the heart of everything we do. Every product gets tested on our own vans, and if we don’t rate it — it doesn’t make it to the shop.
We’re also working on complementary A-pillar tweeter pods for 1” tweeters to round out the setup. Those will follow the same approach — smart design, easy install, and maybe that same hex-pattern detail? (Note: this is just a preview and the final design may look completely different)
If you’ve already grabbed a set, thank you! If you’re on the fence, we’re happy to answer any questions. And if you’ve got thoughts or feedback — send them our way. It’s scary putting your work out there, but hearing from real-world users helps us improve every step of the way.
We’re only just getting started.
